Alex…Grass-o-phobe.

I wanted to get Alex out in the field for a few pictures, only problem she doesn't like the grass to touch her.  She thinks there are snakes everywhere!  I used a chair to combat this problem, but there were still snake concerns.  On the plus side she didn't run off anywhere like Dylan does!  These are some of my favorite shots of the Summer.

In the River

With water levels so low now we were able to walk into the river to the little "islands."  We brought lunch and ate in the shade while the kids, and Jer made sand castles.  Rex even showed up for the party!  On the way out the door everything was really chaotic and I accidentally left Sadie at home.  We got half way there and I asked Jer where Sadie was.  Whoops!  I ran back and got her, she didn't seem to notice, she did say she thought everything had gotten pretty quiet.

Posing Horse

Kristin leaves today but there is still time for one more ride.  I think the horse wants to come along too.  Is he smiling?

Chillin'

Wouldn't you know it by the time we got home the weather had cleared, but there was only a little light left for pictures.  So we rolled ourselves out to take them (we seriously ate a ton of food) I love this one of Kristin, of course she hates it!  Also this picture of the kids is funny.  They are so expressive, I just wish I could capture every moment of every day! (With time off for good behavior, of course.)

Fun on the Grass!

Next we went up to the pool and had some pre dinner cocktails and milkshakes.  Yummy!  Then up for dinner.  The kids were getting bored waiting for their food and headed down to play on the grass when all of a sudden the wind started whipping up and the clouds rolled in fast.  We ran down to get some pictures before the rain started!

Pond Party

Today was such a cool day that I have to break it up into parts.  First we went for a bike ride, we are loving that!  Then we headed out to the Stock Farm, where the kids messed around in the pond.  They rode on the paddle boats and played around on the little dock floating in the middle.  What a perfect day!  Not too hot and the sky is amazing.  You can really see why they call it "Big Sky Country." I am pretty sure Kristin took all these pictures with the water camera, except for the first one (the out of focus one, of course!)

Snow Cones

Today we just hung out, the kids had snow cones, we went for a bike ride then grabbed some lunch in town.  After dinner we rode the ATV's over to Big Creek for a few pictures.  Sadie and Cayson weren't too excited about it, but we got a few shots anyways.  I can't wait to see what Kristin got!
I'm sure her's  are beautiful!  Aunt Tammy, Kirk and Alex are getting here tonight and will be staying to the end of the week!  It's turning out to be a really busy Summer.

Mrs. Brown Has Come To Town

I am so excited Kristin and Cayson came to visit me!!!!!  We are having so much fun.  The kids are enjoying having meatball to themselves and I am enjoying having Kristin to myself.
Tonight we are hitting Cowboy Troys for wings and drinks while Kristin poses
for pictures on Main Street in Victor.  Nice!  You know you're jealous.

Rex 2.0 and the Turkeys

I haven't really mentioned Rex this Summer.  Last October Rex passed away it was really hard on my parents, and we all miss him.  So in December while we were spending Christmas with Julie and Jon they purchased a new Standard Black Poodle.  His name was Royce.  I say was because my Dad kept forgetting and calling him Rex to the point that my parents gave up and renamed him Rex.
So this morning I woke up to a rafter of Turkey grazing in the front lawn this morning, they were so peaceful.  So as I'm taking my picture my dad says "get ready!"  Then releases the hound.  I had never seen turkeys fly before, but they can.  At least fast enough to escape a poodle.

Holy Trout!

Joe and Lon came back with us from the reunion.  Since Lon and Jeremy have the same birthday it seemed like the perfect time for a visit.  And he caught the biggest most delicious trout, out of Big Creek.  Seriously this guy can catch anything it is really amazing!  What a fisherman.

Van Zee Invasion

We dragged some Van Zee's home with us from the reunion.  They stayed overnight on their way back to Washington and Canada.  We had so much fun riding the quads, unfortunately one of their children had a splinter in his foot and was completely freaking out.  I think a week with that many people and the chaos of the trip is enough to make anyone freak out!  I had tons of fun in Idaho, but I am glad to be back in Montana.

Picture Day

Picture Day in Kramerica.  Today we got together for all sorts of group photos.  If there was a configuration to be had we covered it!  Man that is a huge group photo.  I am sure glad I wasn't in charge of that!  I took care of all things Smits and the cousins.  Which ended up being one of my personal favorites!  It rained the rest of the afternoon and looked liked the whole day was going to be a bit of a wash out, but it cleared up enough for some water balloon volleyball.  Everyone young and old got in on the fun, and whoever wasn't in was watching!  That was another highlight of the reunion for me.  What a great time.
